September 1st and it’s 91 degrees here in Madison. With Wisconsin’s hot summer days now numbered, we figured there was no better evening to crack the Clos Pegase 2009 Sauvignon Blanc. This is a good Sauv Blanc.
Bright, crisp, clean. A touch of oak. And I’m getting some herb. While it could be the lingering essences of the fresh basil, oregano, and thyme that I just cut from the garden, I think it’s something more. It just tastes like green. Delicious, fresh green-ness.
(Hey, my bio clearly states that I am not a professional.)
Anne Spectator suggests setting the itunes to Death Cab, cracking a bottle of this, and soaking in the last long, steamy days of summer. Enjoy!
